Laura Ballard-Todd

Laura Ballard is a Lead Research Project Manager in the Center for Language Education and Assessment Research (CLEAR) at ETS. Laura manages the TOEFL internal research program and works closely with the TEOFL Committee of Examiners to oversee the TOEFL Grants and Awards programs. Laura received her Ph.D. in Second Language Studies at Michigan State University (MSU) in 2017. She holds an M.A. in TESOL from MSU and a B.A. in Spanish and International Studies from the University of Michigan.

Michelle Kim

Michelle Kim is a research project manager in the Research & Development division at ETS. She received an MA in applied linguistics from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2017. While working on her master’s, she taught adult English language learners in the Community English Program at Teachers College. She also received a B.A. in early childhood education from Montclair State University in 2015. Prior to working at ETS, Kim worked as a test developer at Second Language Testing where she developed test items for the Global Test of English Communication.

Peter Westerhuis

Peter Westerhuis is an ELT Coordinator at ETS Global. Originally from Vancouver, he is now based in Lyon. With over 12 years of teaching experience, he has taught English in Canada, South Korea, and France to students of all ages and proficiency levels. Currently, he supports and collaborates with English teachers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
